Social change

More efficient investments in social programs can alleviate poverty and create opportunities for growth and further development. Education, jobs and health care are number one priorities on our change agenda. Almost 40% of the Moroccan population is illiterate. Furthermore, although the Ministry of education is endowed with a large budget, the educational system, including school curricula, is in a deplorable state today. Our public schools and universities mostly lead to a mismatch between skills and the new requirements of an ever evolving job market.  Social change requires a revamp of the education sector, with specific targets to ensure quality, empowering education as well as full schooling for all Moroccan children without discrimination. Quality and empowering education means an education that is open on world cultures, respectful of children’s rights and dignity. It also means a curriculum that promotes universal values of respect of differences and minorities, social and personal responsability as well as values our Moroccan difference.

Economic Growth

Change can boost economic growth in Morocco:  Fostering and applying policy monitoring mechanisms will hold the government accountable, promote greater transparency and lead to better management of public funds. This will contribute to creating trust in the system and foster  higher confidence in entrepreneurial ventures.  With a newly elected government majority, Moroccan politics have a chance to enter a new era of scrutiny and political engagement.
